I can remember exactly what I was doing the day I first talked to David. It was 4 p.m. on a Wednesday, and I was mucking around on the Internet. I'd used it for three years but I had never before been into a transatlantic chat room. But for some reason that day, for the first time ever. I decided to give it a go, And at the very same moment Davy sent a message asking, "Anyone want to talk?"
I replied and that was the beginning, That first time we talked for an hour and the messages just flew across the Atlantic, Davy was so much fun to talk to, so animated and full of life. He also got my sense of humour, unlike most people!

The next day I woke up to a flashing computer message that just said: "Hey!" My heart started pounding and the butterflies were zipping round my stomach. I knew it was Davy. I didn't bother getting dressed or even grabbing a cup of coffee - I typed back furiously and we picked up from the day before. We started talking about dreams and ambitions, Then we swapped pictures, Davy looked artistic and creative.
